Review of Oxaliplatin Billing at Saint Bernards Medical Center for Calendar Year 2005

Executive Summary

For calendar year 2005, Saint Bernards Medical Center incorrectly billed for eight 100-milligram vials (160 units) of oxaliplatin rather than four 100-milligram vials (80 units) because of order entry errors and received overpayments totaling $6,400 for the one outpatient claim that we reviewed.
