Seoul Medical Group Agreed to Pay $100,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Improper Remuneration to Insurance Brokers

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Seoul Medical Group, Inc. (Seoul), Long Beach, California, entered into a $100,000 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that Seoul paid two licensed health insurance brokers, for the brokers’ referrals of Medicare beneficiaries to Seoul and for the brokers’ recommendation of Seoul’s services to Medicare beneficiaries.
