Focused Review of State Child Care and Development Fund Program Integrity Efforts

Announced on  | Last Modified on  | Project Number: OEI-07-26-00330

OBJECTIVE

The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is a block grant that subsidizes child care for low-income working families.  The program is administered by States, which are required to develop internal controls to address CCDF program integrity.  This evaluation will assess the extent to which all States conducted specific program integrity activities and the outcome of States’ efforts. We will review States’ activities to assess provider records of child care enrollment, attendance, and billing. We will also identify efficient and effective program integrity activities States conducted and challenges States experienced when conducting the selected activities.
